I'm never sure where merged images leave off and photomontages take over, so I'm putting both categories together into this gallery. In my definition, photomontages have a lot more independent elements that have been put together to create a new concept, and are more complex than merges, which tend to involve fewer input images in which the original photo or photos still predominate. You will find examples of both of these types of image manipulation in some of the other galleries as well.
